Important Information
- Please pin your child’s nametag to his/her shirt every day before coming to school. Children will wear the name tags every day for the first two weeks of school.
- Children arrive between 8:30 and 8:45. We begin our day at 8:45. Please know that children may not enter the room before 8:30. Dismissal is at 3:25. Please send a note to school with your child if you need to pick him/her up from school.
- When sending a note to school, please send the note in an envelope labeled with my name and your child’s name. You may also contact me by phone (330 533-9806) or email me at [email protected]. I check my email before school and after school. Please know that if you email me in the evening, I will not get your email until the following morning.
- We will have three parties in kindergarten: Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. The parties are planned and arranged through PTO parent helpers. You will have the opportunity to sign up to be a PTO parent helper at the beginning of the school year.
- You may send in a small treat for your child’s birthday (a cupcake, cookie, muffin, etc.) We will have the birthday treat during lunch. If you are delivering the birthday treat to school, please have it to school by 10:30. We will celebrate “summer birthdays” in May and June. If your child is having a birthday party, he/she may pass out invitations in school only if the entire class is invited.
- Report cards will be sent home after every nine week grading period.
- A Kindergarten Newsletter will be sent home each month highlighting the skills and concepts that will be covered for the month. Please post the newsletter in a convenient place so that you may refer to it throughout the month.
- Please label all of your child’s belongings, including book bags, hats, coats, gloves, hoodies, boots, etc. Many times the children will not recognize their own belongings, so they end up in the lost and found.
- Parent-teacher conferences are held in November and February. However, please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns you have. Parent-teacher communication is an essential component of a successful kindergarten year!
